Project process

Every software project at Aconiac is developed in close dialog with the client. This means, that we always suggest an initial meeting where a requirements analysis is done or, if a report has already been given by the client, is simply discussed. After this we will normally make a final offer on the specific requirements in the requirements report, which, if accepted, means we can start development.
Aconiac will then report progress to the client regularly and often times will also ask the client about specific parts of the software already developed, so that the client always knows what is happening.

If a client should wish it, it is also possible not to use a final offer, but instead pay our standard Consultant fees.

Methods & Technologies

Aconiac has many years of experience with several different technologies and will normally advice the client to use the technology best suited for the project at hand. We do not insist on any one technology, but instead pride ourselves by always finding the optimal solutions for our clients.

When it comes down to methodologies, Aconiac usually tries to use methods that minimize the amount of errors and makes the software easy to manage in the future. This usually means Compositional Design and Test Driven Development (TDD) or, in cases where errors can be catastrophic, Model Based Development. Model Based Development is however not normally advisable, since it dramatically increases development time.

Methods are however chosen from project to project, since it might, in some cases, be more important with e.g. performance instead of manageability, if it is known beforehand that the software will never be changed again.

Price

A typical software project has prices ranging from 800€ excl. VAT.

With larger projects, it may be necessary to pay a certain percentage of the final offer up front, however in such cases it will be discussed during the initial meeting.
